WHAT
Paul A. Offit, M.D., professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and the director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, will present “The Philadelphia Measles Epidemic of 1991: Lessons from the Past or Prologue to the Future” as a part of the 53rd Annual Bilderback Lecture presented at OHSU Pediatric Grand Rounds.
Offit will discuss the events surrounding one of the worst measles epidemics in Philadelphia’s history, and how the city’s legal community worked to balance public safety with individual religious rights.
Offit will be available for media interviews following the lecture.
