Kohl’s Cares, the philanthropic arm of Kohl’s, has partnered with OHSU Doernbecher since 2007, donating more than $1.1 million to the Doernbecher Tom Sargent Safety Center in support of its Kohl's Car Seat Outreach Project. Through this program, OHSU Doernbecher provides car seat inspections and installation assistance for thousands of families across the Portland metro area each year. Kohl’s Cares items purchased in Portland-area Kohl’s stores also help fund this hospital program.

The current Kohl’s Cares merchandise collection is available now through December 24 at Kohl’s stores nationwide and at The collection of books and soft toys are $5 each, with 100 percent of the net profit supporting children’s health and education initiatives nationwide. Since 2000, Kohl's has raised more than $274 million through the Kohl's Cares cause merchandise program.
