Nuts-N-Bolts: Managing Discrimination, Retaliation and Disability (Course: HRNNBHRD)

Overview

The Nuts-N-Bolts training series provides unclassified managers with knowledge and tools to help them successfully lead, engage, develop, and retain employees. Managers and supervisors are agents of the University and their actions, or failure to act, can create liability for the University and sometimes for themselves.

One of your responsibilities as a manager is to be aware of your obligations and act accordingly. In this highly interactive class, we help you identify your legal responsibilities and employees' rights relating to discrimination, harassment, retaliation and reasonable accommodation. We inform you of resources available to help you respond appropriately. In conjunction with this course it may be helpful to take:

  • Nuts-N-Bolts: Progressive Discipline
  • Nuts-N-Bolts: Managing Protected Leave
