Carpool

A growing community of people carpool to OHSU. Share a ride to save money, reduce traffic congestion, improve patient access and reduce environmental impact.

Finding a carpool

Dynamic carpools

Scoop has partnered with OHSU to help riders and drivers find the most efficient door-to-door trip. Split AM and PM trips. Riders pay a small fee while saving overall on parking and gas. Drivers earn a small reimbursement for providing the ride. Matches and payment are handled in app based on your preferences.

Current OHSU employees and students can learn more at o2.ohsu.edu/scoop.

Long term carpools

MyCommute offers a closed network of current OHSU employees and students. Explore the interactive map, post your needs, and message anonymously. OHSU log in required.

Carpool parking

Splitting the cost saves several dollars a day or over a thousand dollars a year.

Daily parking

Find parking at ohsu.edu/permit.

Long term carpool parking

For employees, any current long term permit can be made a carpool; cutting the cost per user in half. See how much you can save here

If no one in your carpool has a long term permit, you may have to join a wait list while you use daily parking in the meantime. Carpool wait lists are significantly shorter than single driver permit wait lists.

Flexible options for riders

Many options are available to give you peace of mind when your carpool has to leave at a different time than you. These include many direct transit connections as well as such discounted services as Biketown, Lyft, Car2Go.
