Committees and Resource Groups

Diversity Advisory Council
Comprised of staff, faculty and student representatives from all the university's mission areas, the Diversity Advisory Council advises OHSU's president and leadership team on enhancing diversity, cultural competency and opportunity throughout the university.
Physical Access Committee
OHSU's Physical Access Committee works to identify barriers that prevent individuals with a disability from using campus facilities for instruction, academic support, assembly, employment and receive health services. The committee advises OHSU's administration on access needs and priorities to meet those needs.
Employee Resource Groups
At OHSU, our continued success depends on the diverse skills, experiences, and backgrounds that our employees bring to OHSU. To help foster employee growth and development while meeting the needs of a more diverse employee workforce, OHSU supports the formation of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). ERGs provide opportunities for career development, social support, networking, mentoring, and community participation, and help promote cultural awareness and employee engagement. ERGs align with OHSU's mission and goals of advancing diversity and inclusion.
Women in Academic Medicine
The Women in Academic Medicine Committee was established as a standing committee of the School of Medicine in 1993 to address issues of concern to women faculty including career advancement, career satisfaction, participation by women on decision-making bodies at OHSU, pay equity, discrimination, and parenting and schedule flexibility issues.
