Leadership
OHSU Board of Directors
OHSU is governed by a nine-member board of directors. Eight members are appointed by the governor of Oregon and confirmed by the Oregon State Senate.
The OHSU president serves on the board throughout his or her presidency, a student board member serves a two-year term and each of the other members is appointed for a four-year term.
The board customarily meets four to five times a year in public session—notice is given, including the docket and related materials, which will be available here. Following these meetings, a video recording will be posted. ORS 192.690 gives the board authority to meet in private session, as needed, to discuss “sensitive business, financial or commercial matters of the university not customarily provided to competitors”.
