The M.S. in Food Systems and Society, developed at Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon, is in transition to Oregon Health & Science University. We are recruiting our first OHSU cohort for Fall 2019 as we seek reaccreditation through NWCCU and approval from the Statewide Provost’s Council. Learn more about the FSS program

About Our Program

Graduates of the Graduate Programs in Human Nutrition (GPHN) enter the field of dietetics and nutrition from a variety of backgrounds, with diverse interests, and with a passion to serve. They are efficient and effective communicators who use far-reaching, social networking mediums, and individual and group counseling to disseminate information about nutrition to clients, colleagues, and the global community. These future leaders build a foundation to provide innovative, evidence-based, nutrition care and dietetics services that promote and enhance health and wellness for all people.

2018 Commission on Dietetic Registration Diversity Scholarship

Elaine Sim, a first year combined Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetic Internship student, has been awarded the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation's 2018 Commission on Dietetic Registration Diversity Scholarship for her achievements. This recognition is well-deserved and Elaine has received the highest accolades from the GPHN faculty and her preceptors.

2018 Transforming Vision into Action Award

Dr. Diane Stadler, Joanna Cummings, Malissa Warren and Nina Rasprasith were awarded the 2018 Transforming Vision into Action Award for their project titled "Lao-American Nutrition Institute: Nutrition Education that Changes Lives." They were recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at the 2018 Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE) in Washington DC in October.
