The Human Investigations Program has created a series of rigorous didactic courses, experiential learning sessions, and a mentored experience that is the centerpiece.  All courses have been newly created since 2000 with faculty selected for their teaching prowess as well as academic expertise.   Intensive evaluation has maintained consistently excellent evaluations from current and former students.

Registration for HIP Classes

The HIP program will coordinate registration each term for any HIP500 level courses.  Certificate and MCR students will automatically be registered for required courses through the 2-year sequence.   Non-degree students must submit a plan of study upon admission into the HIP program.  Submitting a course plan does not guarantee a non-degree track student placement in any given course but is to help the program with planning and registration.

For Independent Study or Practicum, please contact the HIP program for proposals and appropriate paperwork to be submitted.

 

Add/drops and withdrawals

Contact the HIP program for add/drops or withdrawals.  It is very important to pay attention to the different deadlines for making changes with regard to registration and tuition refunds. The Registrar's Office web page has links to both the academic calendar and a refund schedule.  Be aware that deadlines may differ in each graduate program if taking classes in another program.

 

Other Graduate Courses

Trainees in the HIP Program may register for courses in other OHSU graduate programs noting prerequisites and other limitations.  Credits will count as elective credits in the Certificate or Master of Clinical Research  track. Each trainee must register himself/herself for any courses outside of the HIP curriculum.  Please check with individual programs or the HIP program coordinator for registration information.  Be aware of the OHSU Academic calendar for dates and deadlines regarding registration within other graduate programs. 
 

ISIS information

ISIS Online is a secure, interactive application that allows you to easily view your student information and registration information.  You will need your ID and PIN number sent to you by the OHSU registrar's office when you were accepted into the program.  Questions about your PIN number call the OHSU helpdesk at 503.494.2222.
