Brian Mills, B.S., M.A.

I am a PhD student studying Behavioral Neuroscience at OHSU.  My research uses resting state functional connectivity MRI (rs-fcMRI) to investigate network structure in children with ADHD and autism.  I am also using rs-fcMRI to study non-human primate and rodent models of these disorders. Ultimately, the goal is to link animal models to the human condition in order to better understand the neurophysiology underlying the disorders and to develop better treatments and interventions to be used in humans.  I have a bachelors from Oregon State University and masters degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from San Diego State University.

Julia Ramirez

I am a PhD student at OHSU. I joined the Behavioral Neuroscience department in 2013, and officially joined the Fair lab in the summer of 2014.  My research focus utilizes resting state functional connectivity MRI (rs-fcMRI) to investigate non-human primates as well as children diagnosed with and without ADHD. My main focus involves investigating developmental differences in humans, and non-human primates, by applying predictive measures such as support vector machine learning analysis.  Other tasks in the lab involve being a scan operator and assistant, as well as running neuro-psychological tasks on children with and without autism spectrum disorder.  I graduated from Bates College with a bachelors in Psychology, and took 3 years off post undergraduate school to work on a mouse model of non-normative sensory overstimulation, at Seattle Children's Research Institute.
