Background & Interests

My dissertation research in Behavioral Neuroscience at OHSU examined degenerative changes in the prefrontal cortex with healthy aging and Alzheimer's disease (AD) using structural magnetic resonance imaging techniques in human participants. This work was performed in the laboratory of Dr. Jeri Janowsky and in collaboration with Dr. Jeffrey Kaye in the Department of Neurology. I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Radiology/Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging following up my dissertation and postdoctoral research examining neural and cognitive degeneration in the brain with aging and AD. Information about my current work can be found here. Ongoing work focuses on how cerebrovascular risk contributes to brain tissue degeneration and the development of dementia.
