Matt Hagen awarded Trainee of the Year at Knight Cardiovascular Institute Scientific Retreat

Congratulations to Matt Hagen, who was awarded the Trainee of the Year, Best Poster Award at the Knight Cardiovascular Institute Scientific Retreat on April 29, 2017. Matt is a second year graduate student in the laboratory of Dr. Monica Hinds. His poster, entitled "Phosphorylcholine surface modification reduces thrombogenicity of flow diverters in an ex vivo shunt model" describes his work demonstrating the antithrombotic effect of a novel biomaterial surface coating on platelet aggregation under multiple anti-coagulant therapies.
