NEW STUDENT PROFILE:
Julianne David
About me:
I completed my B.A. and M.S. degrees in chemistry at Northwestern University, working on molecular dynamics modeling of hairpin DNA, and later, the organic synthesis of macromolecules and selective cellular uptake of porphyrazines. I spent 6 years at the University of Texas at Austin as a research assistant working on computational Bohmian quantum mechanics, where my publications developed novel methods for integrating the quantum hydrodynamic equations of motion. Most recently, I have been teaching chemistry at Portland Community College. In my free time I like to play games, knit, and photograph Maxwell, the cutest dog in the world. I am excited to join the computational biology program at OHSU with Dr. Nellore and Dr. Thompson!
