About me:
I attended California State University, Long Beach where I received my B.S. in Chemistry. My studies led me to engage in biochemistry research focused on the unique secondary structure of apoliprotein A-I and its role in reverse cholesterol transport. During the summer of 2015, I visited the University of Oklahoma as part of an REU to perform X-ray crystallography on myoglobin crystals and inorganic synthesis of non-porphyrin iron complexes.
I am now in the Biomedical Engineering Department working in Dr. Owen McCarty's lab.
