Family Medicine Providers Inducted into Gold Humanism Honor Society
Recognized for Compassionate Care
05/01/18 Portland, Ore.
This month at an annual ceremony, Family Medicine physicians Amanda Aninwene, M.D., Lisa Kipersztok, M.D., Katie Ruth, M.D., and Amy Wiser, M.D., were selected by their peers to be inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS).
The GHHS is a national program that recognizes students, residents and faculty who are exemplars of compassionate patient care and who serve as role models, mentors, and leaders in medicine. GHHS members are nominated by peers who assert that nominees are the people they would want to treat their own family.
Membership in GHHS goes beyond selection and induction into an honor society. Its members have a responsibility to model, support, and advocate for compassionate, patient-centered care throughout their careers.
OHSU has had a GHHS chapter since 2011, signifying to the medical community the institutionplaces high value on the interpersonal skills and attitudes that are essential for the highest level of patient care.
