Our peer mentoring program pairs a senior resident with an intern. This pairing provides strong intentional opportunities for connection and support amongst the residents.
Resident Retreat
Annual weekend long retreat for residents and their families
Wellness Wednesdays
Wellness Wednesdays are interspersed throughout the year and are designed by residents for resident. Previous wellness activities have included: yoga, meditation, mind body medicine, cooking demonstrations and wilderness medicine.
Personal Wellness Time
Residents are provided several modifiable blocks of time spread throughout the academic year for personal wellness.
Resident Wellness Program
The Resident and Faculty Wellness Program (RFWP) provides an array of services to increase clinician wellness and reduce burnout and distress. The program provides services such as: counseling, individual coaching and educational workshops.
Balint & Support Group
A support group is held for first- and second-year residents, to help process personal and professional issues particular to family physician training. Balint group meetings are held starting in the third year of residency. The Balint Group is a small-group method of discussing and reflecting on the doctor-patient relationship as well as build empathy for the patient.
