Allergy & Clinical Immunology

Allergy & Clinical Immunology provides primary and consultative patient care in the areas of allergy and immunology.  They instruct students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows in the area of allergy and clinical immunology and contribute to ongoing clinical research studies in the area of allergic disease.  They are a section of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care.

Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases

The Division of Arthritis & Rheumatic Diseases provides care for patients with inflammatory diseases that include rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, vasculitis, scleroderma, myositis, and polymyalgia rheumatica.  They also see patients with diseases such as osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia.  Rheumatologists have special training and expertise in the use of medications that suppress the immune system which is a major approach in the treatment of these immunologically mediated diseases.

Hematology and Medical Oncology

The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology is comprised of specialists dedicated to providing the best possible care for patients with cancer and blood disorders.  All our faculty members have joint appointments in the Knight Cancer Institute and the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology.

Knight Cardiovascular Institute

The Knight Cardiovascular Institute is focused on providing patient focused care in “state of the art” facilities. They have a diverse faculty with expertise in preventive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, heart failure, vascular disease, interventional cardiology, and valvular heart disease to complement existing excellent clinical programs in adult congenital heart disease, arrhythmias, and cardiac transplantation. 

Their areas of strengths in research are cardiovascular imaging for early detection of disease, heart failure and transplantation, emphasizing genetics, adult congenital heart disease,  women's health and the developmental origins of heart disease.

Endocrinology, Diabetes & Clinical Nutrition

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Clinical Nutrition is involved in education, research, and clinical care in general endocrinology (disorders of the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, adrenals, and gonads), diabetes and metabolism, lipids and clinical nutrition, and bone and mineral disorders. The Division has a full complement of clinical activities with specialty clinics for clinical nutrition, lipid disorders, diabetes, bone and mineral abnormalities, and general endocrinology.

The Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center, part of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Clinical Nutrition, offers comprehensive multi-disciplinary diabetes care for children and adults at a single location.

Gastroenterology & Hepatology

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology provides diagnosis and treatment of stomach, small intestinal, colonic, esophageal, gallbladder, liver and pancreatic conditions.  GI faculty and clinical fellows also conduct research and education in these same areas.

The OHSU Digestive Health Center offers patients an interdisciplinary team approach to the prevention, detection, and treatment of digestive disorders, including diagnosis and treatment for patients with stomach, small intestine, colonic, esophageal, gallbladder and pancreatic conditions. They also blend clinical expertise with research advances to achieve the best possible care and outcomes. The team includes patients, their referring physicians, and a wide range of OHSU specialists.

General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics

The Division of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics is home to a group of outstanding physicians, nurse practitioners, researchers and educators who are dedicated to providing excellent general internal medicine & geriatric clinical care, research, and education.

The Division provides longitudinal, comprehensive care to adults from health screening and prevention to care of complex, chronic illnesses over time. They have multiple specialty practices to meet almost any need.
