Charles R. Thomas Jr., MD, FASCO, is professor and chair of the Department of Radiation Medicine at the Oregon Health &Science University. His clinical and translational research involves studying the interactions between novel systemic therapeutics and ionizing radiation, and he is working to develop strategies to address barriers to participation in cancer clinical trials among minority and ethnic populations in the United States.
