Dept chair, Dr. CR Thomas, Jr., will moderate a Panel Session, "Oncologic Emergency Medicine: Research Agenda for Academic Medicine", for the 59th ASTRO Annual Meeting, to be held in San Diego (Sept 2017). Co-presenters include Drs. Knox Todd, Corita Grudzen, Nonniekaye Shelburne, Tracy Balboni, and Jeffrey Caterino. The OHSU Radiation Medicine leadership has been involved in development of a major textbook, ONCOLOGIC EMERGENCY MEDICINE: PRINCIPLES & PRACTICE.  The recent development of the CONCERN (Comprehensive Oncologic Emergencies Research Network) is an exciting multidiscipoinary initiative to conduct research in cancer emergency medicine.
