Co-chief residents receive fundable scores for 2017-18 ASTRO Resident Seed Grant award. Drs. Joshua Walker and Shushan Rana both have received competitive funding for their novel pre-clinical research. Dr. Walker has received funding from the ASCO YIA, RSNA Research Resident grant, and the ASTRO Resident Seed grant. (Due to competing research priorities, he has declined the ASTRO grant.) Dr. Rana's research project, "MicroRNA-15a Regulation of Endothelial Radiation Sensitivity" will be one of 3 funded grants among 23 total applications nationwide, to receive funding from the ASTRO Resident Seed Grant mechanism during he current academic year. Congratulations to Drs. Rana and Walker, who comprise a rare feat of achieving 100% research funding for our current co-chief residents. This is an unprecedented achievement within the OHSU GME community and very rare in our very highly competitive specialty. Pound-for-pound, the research accomplishments of the OHSU Radiation Medicine residency training program is a shining star within the Knight Cancer Institute's portfolio of emerging new investigators. Congratulations to Drs.
