Dr. Jaboin has been selected to serve on the NCI Glioma/Radiotherapy Working Group. The purpose of this WG is to engage a broad, multidisciplinary dialog with key leaders of the NCCN Brain Tumor Committees, CTEP, IDB, relevant NIH intramural resources, and key investigators at a global level, as well as relevant industry partners to identify the best possible opportunities for advancement of radiotherapy options for glioma patients, either through technical enhancements, incorporation of imaging advances, biomarker incorporation, combination with various systemic, targeted, and immunotherapeutic approaches, and other relevant potential therapeutic leads for this difficult disease process.
This effort could result in identifying appropriate pre-clinical and clinical opportunities that can be supported and pursued with the goal of improving outcomes for patients with gliomas. Dr. Jaboin is the CNS radiotherapy program leader for the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute & has published original work on brain cancer.
