Kristina Young, MD, PhD was recently awarded a 2013 RSNA Resident/Fellow Grant Award [RR1359] from the RSNA Research and Education Foundation.  

Dr. Young, a former OHSU MSTP trainee and inaugural Rubinstein Radiation Research Scholar recipient, is currently a ABR Holman Research Pathway resident. 

Her research project titled “TARGETED ALTERATION OF THE TUMOR IMMUNE ENVIRONMENT TO INCREASE CHEMORADIOSENSITIVITY IN RECTAL CANCER” is novel approach to patients receiving preoperative therapy for rectal cancer.
