Sean McGuire, MD, PhD Presents Seminar to OHSU Radiation Medicine Faculty and Learners

Sean McGuire, MD, PhD , assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology @ MD Anderson Cancer Center & the Department of Molecular & Cellular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine, as a Visiting Faculty Scholar in April 2014. Dr. McGuire, a leading-edge radiation oncology physician-scientist, met with faculty and learners of the Dept of Radiation Medicine and the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. He gave a research seminar titled:
“Identification of a Pan-Cancer Oncogenic MicroRNA ‘Superfamily’ Anchored by a Central Core Seed Motiff".
He later joined Drs. Aaron Grossberg (OHSU MSTP Class of 2013, MD Anderson Radiation Oncology Residency Program), Timur Mitin, Garth Tormoen (OHSU MSTP Class of 2015, OHSU Radiation Medicine Student Interest Group), & dept. chair, CR Thomas, Jr., MD, for a reception dinner at ClarkLewis Restaurant
