Continuing Professional Development recognizes distinguished faculty members

June 8, 2017

For 10 years, the OHSU School of Medicine's Division of Continuing Professional Development has recognized annually two OHSU faculty members for outstanding service to continuing medical education. David Mansoor, M.D. '04 R '09, associate professor of psychiatry, OHSU School of Medicine, and Craig Williams, Pharm.D., affiliate associate professor of family medicine, OHSU School of Medicine, were both awarded the CME Distinguished Lecturer Award during the School of Medicine Alumni Scientific Sessions in May 2017.

Their efforts help make possible the hundreds of hours of CME provided by the Division of Continuing Professional Development throughout Oregon each year. Dr. Mansoor chaired the school's first mental health conference for primary care providers, conducted in March. Dr. Williams brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the planning committee for the annual Primary Care Review.

Audio of Dr. Mansoor's talk, "The Healthy Aging Brain" and Dr. Williams's talk, "Should I Be On Aspirin?" is available at the Sommer Memorial Lectures website. Click here to see the complete list of CME Distinguished Lecturers.
