Dr. Karen Deveney installed as president of Pacific Coast Surgical Association

Karen Deveney, M.D., professor of surgery, OHSU School of Medicine, recently began her term as president of the Pacific Coast Surgical Association (PCSA).
The PCSA was established in 1925 (OHSU's own Richard B. Dillehunt was one of the founding members) to advance the science and practice of surgery and currently represents California, Oregon, Hawaii, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska. Dr. Deveney, who is also vice chair for education in the Department of Surgery, has been a pioneer in her field and is known nationwide for her expertise in graduate medical education.
