"From the achievements of our newly minted scientists and physicians to the dedication of our faculty committed to passing on the best of what they know, we are a community of teachers, learners, healers and innovators. I could not be more proud of you or more grateful for my opportunity to spend the past year as your leader." — Interim Dean John Hunter | Read his message in full
The School of Medicine has been producing outstanding graduates since 1887, and now, its 508 graduates of the Class of 2017 join that proud tradition. This class has been increasingly called to consider the role of physicians and scientists as advocates who bring to their work an understanding of the racial and economic disparities in health and health care. They have risen to this challenge with a strong voice that represents great hope for the future.
The Class of 2017 now joins an exceptional community of men and women who dedicate their lives to health and healing. Graduates: we hope you will keep in touch and remain a part of the OHSU family of alumni throughout your careers.
