OHSU researchers make “who’s who” list for scholarly impact

January 18, 2016

Five OHSU School of Medicine faculty members are named in a new long-range study by the Intellectual Property and Science business of Thomson Reuters. The study is a citation analysis identifying the scientists—as determined by their fellow researchers—who have made the most significant global impact within their respective field of study.

Congratulations to:

  • Joan Ash, Ph.D., MBA, professor of medical informatics and clinical epidemiology
  • Brian Druker, M.D., professor of medicine and director, OHSU Knight Cancer Institute
  • Eric Fombonne, M.D., professor of psychiatry
  • Eric Gouaux, Ph.D., senior scientist, Vollum Institute and professor of biochemistry and molecular biology
  • Michael Heinrich, M.D., professor of medicine

The study recognizes nearly 3,000 scientists who published the greatest number of articles ranking among the top one percent by citations received in their respective fields in each paper's year of publication. Analysts assessed more than 120,000 papers indexed between 2003 and 2013 throughout each area of study. More in this Thomson Reuters announcement.
