June 1, 2016
Katherine Wild, Ph.D., associate professor of neurology, OHSU School of Medicine, has been named a fellow of The Gerontological Society of America. Dr. Wild, a psychologist with the Layton Aging and Alzheimer's Disease Center, is among 94 new fellows of the nation’s largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging.
The status of fellow, the highest class of membership within the Society, is an acknowledgment of outstanding and continuing work in gerontology. This recognition can acknowledge a broad scope of activity, including research, teaching, administration, public service, practice, and notable participation within the organization. Fellows are chosen from each of GSA’s four membership sections. Dr. Wild was named in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Section.
Dr. Wild will be formally recognized during GSA’s 2016 Annual Scientific Meeting in November.
