American Association of Colleges of Nursing Announces Election Results

Susan Bakewell-Sachs, Dean of the OHSU School of Nursing, was re-elected to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing board.

Susan Bakewell-Sachs, Dean and Vice President for Nursing Affairs The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) announced its 2017 election results to fill seats on the AACN Board of Directors and Nominating Committee. With votes cast by nearly 75% of all member deans from the nation's nursing schools with baccalaureate and higher degree programs, those selected to serve as AACN's top leaders include Board members and new members. Our own Dean and Vice President of Nursing Affairs at OHSU, Susan Bakewell-Sachs, was re-elected to the board.

Of this distinction, Susan Bakewell-Sachs says, "I am honored to be able to continue to serve on the Board of Directors for AACN and to support the vision that 'Nurses are leading efforts to transform health care and improve health.'"

Those elected to the AACN Board of Directors and Nominating Committee will begin their terms of service following the business meeting at AACN's Spring Annual Meeting on Monday, March 20, 2017.
