Judith Baggs, Ph.D., R.N. quoted in Medical Ethics Advisor article

Judith Gedney Baggs, Ph.D., R.N., Elizabeth N. Gray distinguished professor, was called upon for an interview for an AHC Media Medical Ethics Advisor article.

Baggs has studied end-of-life decision-making in multiple ICUs and gave her input in the article entitled Study: Research on Dying ICU Patients Is Ethically Feasible – Researchers encountered “hesitation and discomfort.”

The article addresses research on critically ill, dying ICU patients that is ethically feasible. The finding in a recent study achieved a 95% consent rate for approached families.
