Thank you to those who joined us for the 2018 School of Nursing Reunion Luncheon

We were delighted to see so many at the annual lunch. Special thanks to our coordinators from the Class of 1968 - Sue Elle. Edith Herb and Gayle Lewis. We appreciated the chance to present Golden Rose pins to class members and recognize their service to the profession over many year. Pictures are posted here.

Betsy LaSor Lecture - OHSU School of Nursing, Ashland Campus

The 2019 LaSor Lecture will be given by Josephine Ensign, FNP, MPH, DrPH, and will be live-streamed from the Ashland Campus at 7 p.m. P.D.T. Dr. Ensign will discuss "Walk in my Homeless Shoes: the Promise and Pitfalls of Empathy." A livestream is available here from 6:55 p.m. on April 16

 

 

The OHSU School of Nursing was honored to welcome Thomas LaVeist, Ph.D., to deliver the 2018 Puhaty Lecture - My journey to discovering why health disparities exist… And what to do about it

Image of Dr. LaVeistThomas LaVeist, a national expert on issues related to equity and health, was recently named dean of Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He will also hold the position of Presidential Chair in Health Equity, making him the first to hold one of Tulane’s newly endowed presidential chairs, created to support the recruitment of exceptional, internationally recognized scholars whose work transcends and bridges traditional academic disciplines.
