The ceremony does not require regalia. Student grads are to dress business casual. Graduates will not be pinned nor hooded. Graduates will be recognized individually on stage receiving a rose and a welcome packet from the School of Nursing Alumni Association Chapter President.
Guests are welcome to attend. NO TICKETS necessary for guests. First come first serve for seating in the auditorium.
Student Requirements: Application for Degree
Nursing Students are required to Apply for Degree using the OHSU student registration system. Check the OHSU student portal for instructions.

IMPORTANT GRADUATION INFORMATION
School of Nursing Graduate Instructions for Graduation Day!
Nursing Grads are strongly encouraged to review this document to ensure that you are well informed about the events and instructions you need to follow for Graduation Day.
The OHSU Registrar's Office is now set up to allow students to apply for degree within your student information system. Students must apply to graduate through the student information system account. Log in to the Student Information System, SIS, click on Student Services tab, click on Student Records and then click on 'Apply to Graduate'.
This application should be completed and returned to the OHSU Registrar no later than March 16, 2019 for Spring graduates. Summer 2019 graduates wishing to participate in the ceremony and/or have their information included in the program need to submit their applications no later than March 30, 2019.
Students can check in Students Services / Degree Works to see if their Application for Degree has been received and processed. When processed, the Application for Degree field will be checked off. For further questions, please contact OHSU's Registrar's office at 503-494-7800.
In order to help with our planning process we will ask that all
students eligible to participate in convocation please submit an RSVP
even if you are not planning to attend.
Please RSVP submit form for attendance by March 30, 2019. This does not substitute for your application for degree.
Elite Frames is the official manufacturer of OHSU diploma frames and will have diploma frames on display and available for order at the 2019 Grad Fair @the OHSU Student Center- on May 23 & 24th. To save time, ensure they have the frame style you wish and avoid shipping charges on special order frames, it is advised that you pre-order your frames by going to www.eliteframes.com/ohsu and your frame will be ready for pick up at the event. Place pre-orders by 5/11/2019. Frames are also available at the OHSU Student Center Store, but not all frames or picture frame moulding options are available as compared to the website.
Regalia is required of all student graduates and faculty participating in the OHSU School of Nursing convocation ceremony. Students participating in the 2019 Portland convocation ceremony on June 3, 2019 are required to wear (order) regalia. Order rental regalia online from Herff Jones.

Students can elect to pick up pre-ordered regalia during the two day Grad Fair in May or
have it shipped to their home address (additional fees for home shipping apply). This
is rental regalia and needs to be returned directly following the
ceremony on June 3.

Purchasing a nursing pin through Klein Jewelers is completely optional.
Klein Jewelers in Portland is the exclusive supplier of OHSU nursing pins and has been making our pins since 1927. Undergraduate nursing students have the option to purchase a nursing pin or can also receive a hand me down keepsake from a loved one. Undergraduate nursing students will be pinned by a faculty representative at the pinning ceremony on Monday, June 3, 2019.
Students interested in ordering a nursing pin should submit the order form to Klein Jewelers directly by March 22, 2019.
Graduates should make all efforts to attend and pick up their 1) Regalia (caps & gowns plus hoods for grad level), 2) Nursing Pins for UGrads only, 3) Latin Honor Cords for UGrads only, 4) Name Cards for Graduation, 5) Student instructions for Graduation Day, and 6) pre-purchasing a Diploma Frame during this event. Graduates participating in the June 3 ceremony who are unable to attend during the time below should ensure they select "home shipment" when ordering regalia. Additional fees for home shipments.
Note: It is acceptable for graduates to send a representative in their name to pick up for them.
