The Nucleus Lounge located in the Student Center showcases artwork created by students, residents, employees, faculty, patients, and local artists. We are always eager to showcase exhibits that address health and well-being. Each art exhibit opens with a small reception, and is shown for several months. The Student Center has multiple group study areas and lounge spaces that are accessible on a first come, first served basis.  The computer/study room is an area that offers students, residents, and fellows access to four computer kiosks and lounge style seating that is perfect for group study sessions.  Computers do not have printing capability and require an OHSU login. 

The Student Center hosts a collegiate-size basketball court available to OHSU  students, residents, fellows and their significant others, as well as employees, faculty, and guests of OHSU.  Students, residents, and fellows must present a valid OHSU ID or access card to gain entry to the gymnasium.  All others must purchase an access card to the Student Center. They gymnasium closes 15 minutes prior to the building closing.  Special events and classes are often conducted in the gymnasium and closures will be posted in advance on the Student Center kiosk. The OHSU gymnasium is also available for reservation.  Please review the reservation information and operational and scheduling policies for more details.

The Student Center media room is a multifunctional space used by OHSU students, residents, fellows, employees, faculty members and non-OHSU organizations for a variety of social and academic activities.  The Student Center staff also provides regularly scheduled programming in this room, including: viewing parties for sporting events and blockbuster movies.  The room is equipped with 15x9 foot HDTV screen.  The room also has a computer kiosk for power point presentations and internet access. The room is available for reservation to current OHSU students, residents, and fellows at no-charge.  The room is also available for reservation to OHSU employees, departments and non-OHSU organizations for a hourly fee.  Reservation information.

Located in the Nucleus Lounge area is a baby grand piano, open for anyone affiliated with OHSU to play.  Please ask for the key at the front desk.  There is a one hour time limit per player.

Located on the second floor is a 6-lane, 25 yard lap pool available to OHSU students, residents, fellows and their significant others, as well as employees and guests of OHSU. The hot tub, which comfortably accommodates 8 people, provides a truly relaxing soak. The water is kept at approximately 101 degrees. Students, residents, and fellows must present a valid OHSU ID badge or access card to gain entry to the swimming pool and hot tub. All others must purchase an access card.  The natatorium closes 15-minutes prior to the building closure. OHSU community members are allowed to utilize kayaks and surfboards with prior approval.  The swimming pool and hot tub are not available for rental or private individual/group reservations.

The Wellness room is available to OHSU students, residents, fellows as well as their spouses/significant others.  There are seven pieces of cardio equipment including: 2 treadmills, 2 cross trainers, 1 stair climber, and 2 stationary life cycles.  Therabands, theraballs, and mats for stretching are also available.  Students, residents, and fellows must present a valid OHSU ID badge or access card to gain entry to the Wellness room, significant others must purchase an access card for admittance.
