The gymnasium and media room are the only amenities available for reservation in the OHSU Student Center and can be reserved free of charge by current OHSU students, residents, and fellows for organized group events.  The Nucleus Lounge and swimming pool are dedicated common spaces, and are not available for reserved events.  The Nucleus Lounge is considered to be first come, first served and individuals planning to host group events here are encouraged to arrive early to informally reserve the space.  To review alcohol use, operational and scheduling, and solicitation policies, click here

Rental Facilities and Fees


The rental rate for the gymnasium is $50.00 per hour for OHSU departments, clinics and institutes, and $100.00 for non-OHSU organizations.

Media Room

The rental rate for the media room is $75.00 per hour for OHSU departments, clinics and institutes, and $150 for non-OHSU organizations.  If a room reservation results in the extension of Student Center’s closing hours, a $100 per hour fee will be assessed.  If the building is open early for an event, the assessed fee will be $100 for the first hour and $75 for each additional hour.  If the building is officially closed for weekends or holidays, the assessed fee to open the facility will be $500 and $100 per  hour.

At this time, the Student Center is not taking deposits for room reservations and all outstanding fees will be billed 2-business days following the event.  Please note that housekeeping fees will be assessed when reserved areas are damaged or left in an unclean condition.

Cancellation Policy

All organizations are required to cancel their room reservations at least 1 business day prior to the reservation.  Any cancelled reservation must be rescheduled within 14 days of the original reservation date.  Cancellations should be made by calling 503-494-8295 or emailing the .
