Leukemia Clinical Trials
Clinical trials are research studies that people can volunteer for to help research scientists find new treatments and cures for diseases. Clinical trials provide treatment or medications that are new and not yet available to the general public. Cancer clinical trials are designed to answer scientific questions and test new ways to:
- Treat cancer
- Find and diagnose cancer
- Prevent cancer
- Manage symptoms of cancer or side effects from its treatment
The results of these research studies give healthcare providers the information needed to improve the way cancer is treated.
There are a variety of clinical trials available for leukemia at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. We may have clinical trials available for the following types of leukemia:
- Acute myeloid leukemia (AML)
- Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)
- Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL)
- Chronic myelogenous leukemia(CML)
- Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)
- Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML)
