Lara E. Davis, M.D., is a medical oncologist who specializes in caring for patients with sarcoma. She has special expertise in adolescent and young adult sarcoma. She has advanced training in both adult and pediatric oncology, and she completed a fellowship at OHSU.
Christopher W. Ryan, M.D., specializes in treating sarcomas and genitourinary cancers (kidney, bladder, prostate and testicular cancers). He strives to offer the latest treatments to patients through clinical trials. He is inspired by his many patients who received these treatments before they were widely available.
Kevin G. Billingsley, M.D., is a gastrointestinal surgical oncologist with a focus on tumors involving the liver, pancreas and bile ducts. He also provides surgical care for patients with gastric cancers, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, peritoneal malignancies and sarcomas. He completed a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Billingsley is medical director of the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and chief of the OHSU Division of Surgical Oncology.
Yee-Cheen Doung, M.D., specializes in orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation for sarcoma patients. Her research focus is on sarcomas and metastatic disease in bone (cancer that spread to the bone from another part of the body). She completed a fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Kenneth R. Gundle, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon who focuses on tumors of the musculoskeletal system, in particular sarcoma and metastatic disease in bone. His research on improving outcomes that matter most to patients has been presented at regional, national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. He completed a fellowship at the University of Toronto.
Dale Han, M.D.,
specializes in treating skin-based cancers, such as melanoma and Merkel
cell carcinoma, and in treating soft tissue tumors and sarcomas. He is
Board Certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Oncology. He has
extensive experience in treating these types of cancers, and is
committed to improving outcomes for patients while providing
compassionate care.
James B. Hayden, M.D., Ph.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on surgery for bone sarcoma tumors. He also specializes in soft tissue tumors, inflammatory arthropathies (joint diseases such as arthritis) and metabolic bone disease (bone-strength disorders). He completed a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Skye C. Mayo, M.D., M.P.H., is a surgical oncologist who works with patients with tumors of the liver, bile ducts, pancreas, gall bladder, stomach and digestive system. He also specializes in retroperitoneal sarcomas, which develop in the back of the abdomen. His research focuses on detecting returning cancer early and how patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver respond to treatment. He completed fellowships at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Rodney F. Pommier, M.D., is a surgical oncologist with expertise in surgery for breast, colorectal, pancreatic, thoracic and carcinoid cancers, as well as sarcomas. His research focuses on breast cancer, endocrine tumors, sarcomas, melanomas and carcinoid cancer. He completed surgical oncology fellowships with the American Cancer Society at OHSU and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
John T. Vetto, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a surgical oncologist who treats patients with melanoma, breast cancer and sarcoma, especially soft tissue and muscle sarcomas. His research is focused on tumor immunology and cancer education. He was one of the founding members of the OHSU breast program and heads OHSU's melanoma surgery team. He has published more than 300 papers, abstracts, editorials and book chapters. He completed fellowships in surgical oncology at the National Cancer Institute and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Arthur Y. Hung, M.D., is a radiation oncologist who specializes in soft tissue sarcomas and cancers of the reproductive organs. His research focuses on developing clinical trials and refining radiation techniques to eliminate side effects while giving patients the most benefit.
