Where do I send my gift?

Please print our donation form and send with your gift payable by check, money order, cash or credit card to the OHSU Foundation, Mail Stop 45, PO Box 4000 Portland, OR 97208-9852. Make sure to specify that your gift is for the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute.

Do you accept online donations?

Yes, you may make your gift through our secure online donation site. Remember to designate your gift for the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. If you have questions regarding a particular fund, please call us at 503 494-3607.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. Gifts to the OHSU Foundation, which is a qualified 501(c)(3) foundation as defined by the Internal Revenue Service, qualify as a charitable deduction for federal tax purposes as permitted by law. Upon receiving a gift, the OHSU Foundation will issue you a receipt. You may designate your gift to the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute.

What is the relationship between the OHSU Foundation and the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute?

The Oregon Health & Science University Foundation's mission is to secure private philanthropic support for OHSU and to invest and manage gifts responsibly in accordance with donors' wishes. Gifts designated to the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute provide critical resources to accelerate cancer research and care.

I can only make a small gift. Will it help?

Every gift is important and appreciated. The cumulative effect of several small gifts can be significant, helping to fund basic and clinical research projects, obtain state-of-the-art research equipment, build new laboratories, recruit and retain top faculty and provide outreach and education opportunities for patients and the public. 

I am interested in supporting a specific area of cancer research. How can I be sure my gift will be used as I'd like?

You may designate that your gift be used for any of the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute's areas of research, endowed faculty positions, fellowships, outreach and education, patient care, or equipment and capital projects. Undesignated gifts are very important, too, as they help support the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute's highest priorities.
