Supports applicants through developing SMART goals, objectives and designing an evaluation plan appropriate for each tier. Watch this webinar second.

One hour with an evaluation expert to support you in developing objectives, deliverables and an evaluation plan. Request a consultation when you submit an intent to apply form, via our how to apply page.

Application Assistance Webinars
In partnership with the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CPCRN), we are pleased to offer three modules from the Putting Public Health Evidence in Action training modules as recorded webinars with activity guides and practical tools. We highly encourage you to take advantage of these resources as you develop your Tier 2 or 3 proposal and determine the best approach to address cancer in your community.

This list is meant as a resource and is not comprehensive. Applicants/grantees are not required to utilize any of the organizations listed and are welcome to work with private consultants who provide similar services.
Contact organizations directly in order to receive specific estimates for data analysis services in support of your project. It is preferable to contact listed resources during the project development phase. Please include any data analysis costs in your proposed budget. If possible, include a letter of support if the estimate will be included in a proposal.

Putting Public Health Evidence in Action Workshop
This workshop, created by the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CPCRN) with funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), aims to build participant's capacity to implement and evaluate evidence-based approaches to address cancer issues.
Next anticipated date and location: January, 2020, in Eugene, Oregon
Requirements: Attendees must have either completed the three webinars below or previously have taken the in-person training.
Participants will be able to: Describe steps in the adaptation process; Discuss important factors or tasks in each phase of implementation (pre-implementation, implementation, maintenance); Know how to use different evaluation methods for evidence-based programs, policies or other strategies
Who should attend?
- Community Partnership Program grantees: The workshop is required for tier 2 and 3 first-time grantees who have not previously attended an in-person workshop. CAM grantee requirements are to be decided.
- Prospective applicants, community researchers and project leaders: We encourage Oregon-based individuals who work with community projects and/or research to participate in this training as the skills you learn will significantly enhance the quality of community-based project design and grant proposals.
