Morphology Conference / Grand Rounds

The OHSU Department of Dermatology Morphology Conference (Grand Rounds) is a didactic conference where a series of interesting/difficult patients of teaching value are presented by Pacific Northwest dermatologists, physician assistants and nurse practioners, the clinical university faculty, and referrals from other specialties for assistance in diagnosis, treatment options, or teaching value.

  • The first portion of the conference is patient viewing.
  • The second portion, frequently led by volunteer clinical faculty, includes a discussion of morphologic description, differential diagnosis review of dermatopathology with a digitalized clinical/pathological correlation, followed by a consensus diagnosis and treatment options.
The Department of Dermatology Morphology Conference offers CME credit for attendees. Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
