Conference Information and Accreditation

Aerial tram at OHSU The OHSU Department of Dermatology Morphology Conference/Grand Rounds is an accredited continuing medical education program.

Conference objectives

The objectives for the conference are two-fold. First, it is a learning opportunity for residents, medical students, current faculty, volunteer clinical faculty and other community physicians and non-physicians interested in ongoing education involving interesting and difficult dermatologic patient cases. The weekly session is meant to provide a valuable opportunity to learn and improve morphologic diagnosis of skin diagnoses, as well as patient management and treatment skills. Alternating moderators lead the weekly discussion with preference given to volunteer clinical faculty who provide additional input beyond the current faculty. The sessions are interactive, allowing attendees to be an integral part of the discussion and enhance their education through active participation. The second objective is to provide expert input for both physicians and patients by providing assistance with diagnosis and treatment options.

Accreditation

Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit

OHSU School of Medicine, Division of CME, designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ per session. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

To receive credit for attending:

Please make sure you sign in at each weekly conference. The Department of Dermatology will submit an attendance summation to the CME office, based on the sign-in sheets. If you do not sign the attendance sheet at a grand rounds/morphology conference, you will not get credit. Also, please fill out the brief evaluation form at the conclusion of the conference. Please complete the evaluation on site and return to the resident in charge (varies). OHSU requires a summation of these evaluations for each and every session in order for us to receive CME credit.

In the early fall, you will receive an annual CME statement directly from OHSU's Continuing Medical Education office.
