What to Expect

Consultation and care plan visit
Your consultation and care plan visit brings together a variety of experts to collaborate on the most accurate diagnosis and best course of treatment for your baby. Whenever possible, everything will take place in a single day.
Your visit will begin with a comprehensive review of your existing records and essential tests, such as ultrasound or fetal echocardiogram.
During your care, you will be working with a team of specialists including specific experts matched to your baby’s condition.
We will be working together to provide you with a comprehensive evaluation that goes beyond medical tests to include:
- Diagnosis-specific subspecialty consultations
- Meetings with counselors in genetics, social services, family support, maternal-fetal medicine, neonatology and pediatric surgery
When all is complete, you can expect clear communication about your condition, treatment plan and next steps.
We understand these can be very stressful times and are committed to making your visit as seamless and informative as possible. Your fetal therapy coordinator, Cathy Cromett, will be with you throughout your stay to help you with anything you need.
Your prenatal care providers are an essential part of the team and will be kept up to date on your evaluation and care plan.
