The PEARL Study

birth control pills with PEARL study logo
Oregon is one of the first states to allow pharmacists to directly prescribe birth control, and we want to understand how this is affecting care for Oregonians.

If you are interested in getting a birth control prescription from your local pharmacy, we want to hear from you. If you agree to take part in this study, you'll be asked to fill out four surveys about your experience over the course of 12 months. These surveys should each take about 10 minutes of your time.

What Will I Receive?

If you choose to participate, you will be given up to $65 in Amazon gift cards.

Am I Eligible?

In order to participate in this study, we ask that you are:
  • Getting a birth control prescription from either a clinician or a pharmacist from a participating pharmacy
  • Between the ages of 18-50 years
  • In good general health
