Rosacea Course Fluctuations during Pregnancy: a Longitudinal Observational Study
Although subjective, case-report level data exists that supports rosacea's improvement during pregnancy, it has never been formally studied. Since there are no comprehensive animal models for rosacea, using normal physiologic changes in pregnancy as a theoretical model may elucidate rosacea's complex pathophysiology.
Eligibility
Evaluation of your photo by a certified dermatologist one time during each trimester of pregnancy and one time post-partum. If needed, patients can be scheduled for further evaluation and treatment options.
Eligibility
- Age 18 years or older
- English speaking
- First trimester singleton pregnancy
- With rosacea or a history of rosacea
Exclusion criteria includes: unable to consent, those with significant genetic, immunologic, hormonal, rheumatologic, or dermatologic disease or diagnoses outside of rosacea.
