Childbirth Classes
PLEASE NOTE: For all childbirth classes, one registration includes two attendees.
The goal is to complete all prenatal classes at least one month before delivery. We recommend registering for classes in your fourth month of pregnancy. Let us know if you need special accommodations to participate.
Cancellation Policy: For classes not canceled by OHSU, refunds or transfers of class(es) must be requested at least five (5) business days prior to the first day of class. Refunds or transfers will not be granted when requests are made after this time. To cancel or request a refund, contact us at birthing@ohsu.edu. If a class is under enrolled and needs to be canceled, you will be notified at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule.
Tours of Labor and Delivery are led by a health educator and are one hour in length. Tours include information about where to park, when to come to the hospital, and planning for your stay. Online registration is required to ensure patient privacy and reduce disruption for our laboring families.
Registration includes participation for two attendees and two courtesy tram passes.
Register in 4th or 5th month, complete by 8th month
This comprehensive four-week childbirth series covers all aspects of childbirth including: the anatomy and physiology of late pregnancy, the labor and birth process, signs and stages of labor, options for coping and pain management, possible complications, and how to promote positive communication with your caregiver.
