Women's Primary Care: partners in your health

Our goal is to develop a trusting, ongoing relationship with you throughout your life, whatever your health and wellness needs. The Center for Women's Health primary care program includes six doctors (M.D.s) and two certified nurse practitioners (F.N.P.-C. and A.N.P.-C.). Each of our providers is fully qualified to provide excellent primary care as well as any needed referrals and medication prescriptions. We accept patients starting around age 16 and can see women throughout their lives.

You can see our primary care providers for:

  • Annual exams, immunizations, screenings and medication management for both adolescents and adults
  • Coordination of care for chronic conditions
  • Urgent care
  • Screening, diagnosis and treatment for ongoing conditions
  • Contraception
  • Menopausal symptom management

And we can treat many other conditions as they arise, as well as refer you to specialists when needed. We look forward to partnering with you to help you achieve long-term health and wellness.

Serving as your medical home

The OHSU Center for Women's Health is a recognized Patient-Centered Primary Care Home. That means we have been honored for our commitment to patient-centered care.

Why do I need a Primary Care Home?

A Patient-Centered Primary Care Home can help you coordinate your health care needs.

For example, when you and your primary care provider work with other health professionals — such as nurses, specialists and pharmacists — this is called your "health care team."

Your team works together to make sure they all are aware of what is happening with your health. This improves the type of health care you get.

We will also:

  • Help you play an active role in your health
  • Listen to your concerns and answer your questions
  • Offer after-hours help and alternatives to the emergency room
