Writing Help

Grant Writing and Editing Services

Grant writing is not only good for your finances, but it can also make you into a more creative thinker and help you to formulate a strategic vision for your laboratory and your work.

Our goal is to help you become more productive by teaching you to be a better grant writer—better at formulating your ideas in writing, targeting your audience, promoting your ideas, and editing your work so that it’s easier to read.

Our individualized services are available on a limited basis for anyone in the OHSU community, especially junior faculty and postdoctoral fellows. We also offer some services for graduate students. Contact the Director of Research Development & Communication for more information. Fees may apply to some editing work. Workshops and classes are open to anyone at OHSU.

Resources for Non-Native Speakers

OHSU offers an English Language Learners program for non-native English speaking employees wanting to improve their English.

Non-native speakers interested in improving their writing skills may benefit from a Writing for ESL class, available for a fee at Portland Community College.
