Semiquantitative Determination of Elemental Content
In addition to determining the quantities of known elements, ICP-MS technology can be used to identify the elements in a sample.
Semiquantitative analysis can be used to determine more than 70 elements at one time, with an accuracy of +/- 30% or better on completely unidentified samples. This technique gives information on almost all elements heavier than sodium (Z ≥ 11).
