T-RAP first began as a clinical research program in the Department of Surgery's Division of Trauma / Critical Care / Burns at the University of California Irvine Medical Center (UCIMC) in January 2008.  The program has since expanded to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, a Level-1 Trauma Center in Los Angeles, and most recently to Oregon Health Sciences University in 2012.
